Summer Events at UPEI FSDE

Calling all rising Grade 11 and 12 students!  ProGRES: Promoting Girls in Research in Engineering and Sustainability is a five-week summer research opportunity at the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering at UPEI to welcome and encourage girls and non-binary students to explore Engineering!  You will be matched with an engineering professor, work on your own research project, meet other engineering students and Professional Engineers on the island, and get paid for it!

Discipline Decision - Andrew Walsh, P.Eng.

The Engineers PEI Act Enforcement Committee investigated a complaint against Member Andrew Walsh, P.Eng. in 2024 and referred the matter to the Discipline Committee.

The Discipline Committee, pursuant to the Engineering Profession Act, conducted an oral hearing, beginning with a Preliminary Hearing in September and a three-day hearing in November 2024.

The decision of the Discipline Committee was issued on February 13, 2025.

Duty to Report

Registrants play a vital role in protecting the public interest.

All Registrants, including companies registered with Engineers PEI, have a duty to report situations where the regulated practice of engineering by another engineer or company may pose a risk of to the public. 

The duty to report is set out in the By-Laws & Code of Ethics s. 14.5.5.  The ByLaws & Code of Ethics can be found here.

2025 Engineers PEI Annual Golf Tournament

The Engineers PEI Social Committee invites Members, EITs, Licensees and Student Members to take part in the Engineers PEI Golf Tournament.

The tournament will be taking place on Friday, September 19th at Avondale Golf Course, 586 Avondale Road in Vernon River.

Registration begins at 1:00pm, with a shotgun start at 1:30pm.

Please register by Friday, September 5th, by filling out the registration form on the back page and emailing it to Kim at info@EngineersPEI.com.
