30th Annual Engineers PEI Bridge Building & Artwork Contest

March is National Engineering Month.  Each year, Canadians coast to coast take part in various activities to increase awareness of the importance of engineering in our everyday lives and to encourage young people to consider engineering as their career choice. The 30th Annual Bridge Building & Artwork Contests will be taking place on Friday, April 4th at Royalty Crossing Mall, beginning at 4:30pm.

    Discipline Decision - Andrew Walsh, P.Eng.

    The Engineers PEI Act Enforcement Committee investigated a complaint against Member Andrew Walsh, P.Eng. in 2024 and referred the matter to the Discipline Committee.

    The Discipline Committee, pursuant to the Engineering Profession Act, conducted an oral hearing, beginning with a Preliminary Hearing in September and a three-day hearing in November 2024.

    The decision of the Discipline Committee was issued on February 13, 2025.

    Duty to Report

    Registrants play a vital role in protecting the public interest.

    All Registrants, including companies registered with Engineers PEI, have a duty to report situations where the regulated practice of engineering by another engineer or company may pose a risk of to the public. 

    The duty to report is set out in the By-Laws & Code of Ethics s. 14.5.5.  The ByLaws & Code of Ethics can be found here.
